From the North
A49, cross junction with A54, through village of Cotebrook. Or M6, J18 take A54 (Middlewich/Winsford). Turn Left onto A49 through Cotebrook. Signposts for Portal on left hand approx. one mile after Cotebrook.

From the South
M6, J16 - A500 (Nantwich) and A51 (Tarporley). Turn right at roundabout onto A49 (Warrington). At top of hill take first right (Forest Road). Portal is situated immediately on left.

Three holes which particularly encapsulate The Portal Championship Course are the Par 5 3rd hole with its elevated trees, 602 yards challenge and lake fronted green; the picturesque Par 3 14th surrounded by landscaped water features and the dramatic 18th with its cascading waterfall backdrop.

Portal Premier Course

Just 2 minutes from the hotel, the scenic 18-hole parkland Premier Course provides a feast for the eye as well as a challenge to golfers of all levels. With the panoramic views of the 15th overlooking the Cheshire plains and the beautiful water feature on the 17th, the course builds up to a spectacular finish with the par 5 18th hole. At 493 yards the 18th is designed for the long hitters, and you can be sure of a warm welcome at the award-winning clubhouse, where wholesome bar meals, drinks and snacks are served from 11am until closing.

Arderne Course

The 9-hole Arderne Course presents a superb challenge for beginners and experienced golfers alike. Membership of the Portal Premier Course entitles you to discounted green fees throughout the summer at this course too.
